A New York yeshiva said an apartment it rented to a dominatrix required a kosher cleansing. Police in Bedford, N.Y., a tony suburb of New York City, arrested Sandra Chemero on prostitution charges Tuesday. She rented a house from the Khal Adas Kashau yeshiva next door. “Once everything is out, there has to be a spiritual cleansing,” said a yeshiva rabbi who identified himself as Samuel but wouldn’t tell reporters his last name. “We won’t go close to that place until they move out. No, no, no – heaven forbid.” He continued, “It’s like a calamity. I’ve never heard such a thing, and I don’t want to hear about it. It’s terrible.” Yeshiva staff were working out how to remove the whips and chains from the house.
