A number of officers and men serving with the United Nations Emergency Force have asked their command’s permission to visit Israel on their days off, but have been refused such permission. A Foreign Ministry spokesman, conceding that the Israel Government was aware of the desire on the part of UNEF personnel to visit Israel, would say only that there would be no objection to such visits on the part of Israel.
