A Palestinian teenager trying to attack a Jewish community in the West Bank was shot dead by Israeli soldiers.
The 14-year-old Palestinian boy was shot after he lit a Molotov cocktail and threw it at the soldiers standing 30 yards from him near the Yitzhar settlement.
Soldiers at an observation post in the area saw the Palestinian approaching the settlement early Saturday morning, Ynet reported. A knife and tools were found on his body.
The teen was from the village of Asira al-Kabaliya, the site last week of a rampage by Yitzhar residents after a Palestinian entered the community, set fire to a home and stabbed a 9-year-old boy five times before hiding out in the village.
On Saturday night, a Palestinian woman died after she tried to block Israeli soldiers from entering her Abu Dis home to protect a Palestinian fugitive who was renting a room, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Palestinian sources said soldiers shoved the 60-year-old Palestinian woman in a stairway, and Israel Defense Forces officials said the woman suffered a heart attack and fell. Army medics attempted to resuscitate her, the Post reported.
