A proposal looking to the recognition of the Hebrew Language Board, in existence in Palestine twenty-five years, as the Hebrew Language Academy, is contained in an appeal signed by almost all national Jewish organizations in the country addressed to the delegates of the forthcoming Zionist Congress, who are urged to see to it that adequate provision is made in future Zionist budgets for the expansion of the Board’s activities.
The resolution was adopted at a meeting called in Tel Aviv by an association styled “Devotees of the Hebrew Language,” and addressed by Chaim Nachman Bialik.
