A proposal to open future Knesset sessions with the recitation of a psalm was overwhelmingly approved Monday. Members of the opposition Labor Party joined Likud MKs to endorse the innovation. They cited the example of the British House of Commons, on which much Knesset procedure is modeled, which begins each day with a prayer.
