A Protestant church condemned Israel’s West Bank security barrier. The proposal passed Saturday by the Evangelical Lutheran Church’s assembly denounced the barrier for causing hardships for Palestinians, and also called on the denomination to play a role in “stewarding financial resources — both U.S. tax dollars and private funds — in ways that support the quest for a just peace in the Holy Land.,” The Associated Press reported.
