A reply to the question of Lieut. Commander Kenworthy as to whether the British Government is aware of the structure erected by the Moslems on the top of the Western Wall was made on Wednesday by Col. Leopold H. Amery, Secretary for the Colonies.
The Government is not satisfied that the Moslems infringed the status quo of the Wall by building over the Wall. According to the latest report, it appears that a small wall was constructed upon buildings surmounting a portion of the Wall. Thus is an integral part of the structure begun many months ago. At that time nobody suggested that the construction involved an infringement of the status quo, the Secretary declared.
