A secular Israeli lawmaker came out against a government-run campaign encouraging synagogue attendance during Yom Kippur. Funded by the Prime Minister’s Office, the “Yom Kippur For Everyone” campaign has arranged transdenominational learning sessions about holiday prayer rituals at community centers throughout Israel, and publicized them via the media.
