A senior Israeli army officer said Tuesday that Israel should strike at anyone engaged in terror, from the top leadership to the last terrorist. Maj. Gen. Yiftah Ron Tal, commander of army ground forces, made the remarks in an address to officer cadets. Asked by reporters if he differentiates between political leadership and field operatives of terrorist organizations, he replied that it is a distinction for others to make and that whoever engages in terrorism should not be immune, Israel Radio reported.
