A series of articles in Tribuna, the ideological organ of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, refers to Zionism as “cruel, barbarian, genocidal, ridiculous and terrorist,” reports the International Council of Jews from Czechoslovakia. The gist of the series, published in January and February, was that Zionists were “accomplices of pogroms,” and that Jewish big business needs Zionism to establish its rule. The series reflects an intensification of anti-Jewish propaganda which is worrying Czech Jewish leaders, the Council states.
