A shot that wounded an Arab student from Bir Zeit College in an incident near the college on Independence Day was not fired by the pistol belonging to Prof. Ezra Zohar, a prominent physician and Gush Emunim sympathizer who had been questioned about his role in the incident. This, according to an Israel Radio report Thursday, has emerged from a police ballistic check of the weapon and the bullet. The student who was shot was hit in the chest and is recovering at a local hospital. Security forces conducted searches within the college, but found no weapon there that could have fired the bullet.
