A Tel Aviv court sentenced a senior aide to the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin to two years in prison on charges of attempted bribe-taking, fraud and breach of public trust. The court, which also gave Shimon Sheves a one-year suspended sentence and levied a fine of more than $12,000, agreed to postpone the start of his sentence until he appeals to the Supreme Court.
