A text that recently surfaced in Israel uses much of the same phraseology and imagery as the Dead Sea Scrolls, according to a scholar. But scholars say it is too soon to tell whether the “Angel Scroll,” which describes a believer’s trip through the heavens, is a hoax. Two Israelis currently have possession of the text, which was reportedly given them by a German.
