A top Israeli general was barred from entering New Zealand. Maj. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, the deputy chief of military staff, called off a visit to Auckland on behalf of the United Israel Appeal this month after being refused a visa, the New Zealand Herald said Tuesday.
