A U.S. baseball star says he will sit out a key upcoming game in observance of Yom Kippur because he wants to serve as a role model for young Jews. Sitting out the Sept. 26 game against the San Francisco Giants is a way of “saying that baseball, or anything, isn’t bigger than your religion and your roots,” Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Shawn Green said.
