A U.S. congressional committee adopted a resolution calling on the International Red Cross to accept Israel’s Magen David Adom Society as a member organization. The international body has repeatedly denied the Israeli relief agency full member status and refused to recognize the Star of David as its symbol. The resolution is expected to reach the House floor in May.
