A U.S. House of Representatives panel is considering legislation that would allow the release of tens of thousands of U.S. government records on Nazi war criminals. The bill, which passed the Senate unanimously last month, would also require federal departments and agencies to expedite responses to requests from Holocaust survivors that are made under the Freedom of Information Law.
