A Ukraine-based ethnic group, at a conference earlier this month, condemned anti-Semitism, according to the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews. The resolution passed by the congress of the Crimean Tatars, who were expelled by Stalin from the Crimea in 1944 and began returning after the fall of the Soviet Union, also criticized law enforcement officials for calling for another mass deportation of the Tatars.
