A United Nations committee approved $6 million to compensate a Haifa shopping mall that was struck by an Iraqi Scud missile during the 1991 Gulf War, Israel Radio reported this week. The Lev Hamifratz mall sustained heavy damage when it was hit by the missile a month before its scheduled opening.
