A veteran tabloid journalist became editor of Israel’s top-selling newspaper. Rafi Ginat is to replace Moshe Vardi in Yediot Achronot’s top slot in the coming weeks, sources at the daily said Sunday. Ginat, 57, is host of the popular investigative show “Kolbotek” on Channel Two television. This week’s expose involved a woman who pretended to have a cervical infection in order to catch a crooked gynecologist on camera. With an estimated circulation of more than 250,000 copies, Yediot is Israel’s biggest newspaper.
