A Yiddish-language Communist newspaper said here today that the Soviet Union will send a delegation of eight Soviet Jewish artists to participate in celebrations here of the Sholem Aleichem centenary sponsored here by Jewish Communist groups. The celebration is scheduled for March 15.
This is believed to be the first occasion since World War II that the Soviet Union will have sent a Yiddish-language cultural representation out of the USSR.
