Pandemonium broke loose at the luncheon of workers for the Allied Jewish Campaign at Hotel Statler on Thursday when Aaron DeRoy, head of the DeRoy Motor Sales Company and treasurer of the campaign, announced a contribution of $10,000. Mr. DeRoy’s contribution swelled the fund of the special gifts committee to $192,517, and with the $61,669 announced raised by the general solicitations committee made the total subscribed in the first four days of the drive $254,186.
