The 1967 Niger Award for Yiddish literature was awarded today to the poet Aaron Zeitlin of New York, for his book “Lider Fun Churban Und Leider Fon Gloiben.” The award, which carries a $500 cash prize, was unanimously voted by a Jury of the Argentine Culture Congres, Mr. Zeltlin is a contributor to the Day-Jewish Journal, Yiddish daily here.
