Mrs. Abraham H. Aarons, former Chairman of the Department of Farm and Rural Work of the National Council of Jewish Women and a member of the National Board, will officially represent the National Council at the meeting which is being held at the Pennsylvania Hotel today under the auspices of the Provisional Commission for the Establishment of Jewish Farm Settlements in the United States.
Mrs. Mary G. Schonberg, executive secretary, reports a meeting of the Baltimore Section this week. She spoke to an audience of four hundred and fifty Council members. She further reports that not only the Baltimore Section, but such sections as Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Providence, have increased their membership by several hundreds. Active membership campaigns are proceeding with great satisfaction in all parts of the country.
Mrs. Arthur Brin, president of the National Council of Jewish Women, will preside at the Friday morning session of the National Conference on the cause and cure of war, to be held in Washington, January 16th to 19th. Ten members of the Washington Section are acting on the hostess committee for the conference.
