Actor Kirk Douglas plans to celebrate his second Bar Mitzvah when he marks his 83rd birthday in December. According to tradition, a person’s allotted life span is 70 years, so the actor feels that in his “second life” his bar mitzvah is due 13 years later. A spokeswoman for Douglas said the ceremony will be held in Los Angeles.
