The question of the teaching of the French language in the Jewish elementary schools of Salonica is to be settled in conformity with the demand of the Jewish Community.
The Inspector General of the Elementary Schools in Salonica has informed the Inspector of the Elementary Jewish Schools that the French language should not be taught in the primary grades, but that it may be taught, save under exceptional circumstances, in higher grades.
During the next three years, teaching of French will be omitted in one form each year. After that it may be taught without hindrance in the fifth and sixth forms.
