Afghanistan denied reports that its government contacted Israel with an eye to normalizing relations. Tuesday’s denial came after an Israeli Foreign Ministry official had said on Monday that the Afghani foreign minister had approached his Israeli counterpart and expressed an interest in normalizing relations, the daily Ha’aretz reported Wednesday.
