After Tuesday’s terrorist attack at an Israeli army base, Israel vowed that its policy of targeted killings would continue. “Today’s attack is another clear indication that the Palestinian Authority refuses to budge even one bit regarding the fight against terror,” David Baker, an official in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said after the blast, which killed seven. The United States also condemned the attack, which State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said “underscores the urgency with which the Palestinian Authority needs to take immediate and effective steps to dismantle and disarm the terrorist capabilities of organizations that take innocent lives in order to prevent the peace process from going forward.”
