A 5-months term in prison for teaching Jewish children the prayers from the prayer book, was yesterday meted out to Mira Goldberg, an aged Jewess in the village of Smolevitch, in the Minsk region. The woman was accused of maintaining a cheder attended by ten pupils, although it was established that the woman was illiterate and had taught the prayers from memory.
