The London office of the Jewish Agency for Palestine today described as “absolutely without foundation of any kind” the story published yesterday in El Liwaa, Arab daily, reporting that Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency, had listed in a letter to High Commissioner Wauchope eight conditions on which Jews would accept the proposed legislative council for Palestine.
An official of the Agency said there has been no discussion between Dr. Weizmann and the High Commissioner on the subject of acceptance by the Jews of the legislative body.
