A Jewish Agency spokesman said today that the first demand the Agency will mate to the U.N. Palestine Commission, to which it has been invited to send a representative, will be a request that the Commission proceed to Palestine as soon as possible.
The Agency declaration followed a statement yesterday by a British spokesman, reiterating that his government did not wish to have the implementation body come to Palestine until shortly before the Mandate is relinquished on May 15.He added that Britain might be willing to give up the Mandate before that date if the Commission felt it could take over.
