Notwithstanding the agreement concluded between the Club of Jewish Deputies and the Polish government concerning the concessions on monopolized articles, the withdrawal of concessions on tobacco is being carried on in Congress Poland.

A complaint to this effect was expressed by the Jewish National Council in a memorandum submitted to the Polish government yesterday. The memorandum points out that this continued practice takes away the livelihood of many Jewish concessionaries. The Council points out that if the government intends to aid Polish war veterans, it could give these veterans new concessions without harming the present holders, thus extending the consumption instead of limiting the number of vendors.
