The Agudath Israel, Orthodox world organization, has spent the amount of $250,000 on its 160 new schools established in recent years in Eastern Europe. The schools have an enrollment of 18,000 pupils, mainly girls, according to statements made by Dr. Pinchas Kohn, president, at a press conference here.

The world congress of the organization will be held here this summer. It will consider a number of proposals dealing with economic problems of the Jewish masses insofar as the observance of the Sabbath is affected. The organization of a Jewish religious workmen’s association will be undertaken. The question of the Jewish Agency will also be taken up, Dr. Kohn said.
