The attitude of the Agudas Israel World Organization towards the resolutions on Palestine adopted here last week by the Extraordinary Zionist Conference was outlined in a statement made public today by Mr. Jacob Rosenheim, president of the Agudah, who is now in this country.
“As far as free Jewish immigration to and the free acquisition of land by Jews in Palestine is concerned, we fully endorse the Zionist claims,” the statement reads. “We are sharing the hope of Dr. Weizmann that the genius of the British people will find, in good time, a better solution of the Jewish-Arab problem than that of the unfortunate White Paper. We are, however, as everybody and also the Allied governments will understand, unable to acknowledge the Jewish Agency in its present constitution and composition as the duly authorized representative of the whole Jewish people, as long as no internal agreement has been reached with the autonomously organized body of Orthodoxy all over the world, not represented in the Agency.”
