A call to Prime Minister Ben Gurion to “halt the undeclared war against religious education in Israel” was issued today by Agudath Israel of America. The statement ###that Ben Gurion’s party “encourages the deprival of a religious education from immigrant children in Israel.”
While going on record in support of the State of Israel Bond Drive, Agudath Israel states “that it is in the best interests of the Jewish state to secure a religious education for religious immigrant children and thus prevent possible serious repor### throughout the United States.” Agudath Israel is represented in the Israeli Cabinet by its world executive chairman, Rabbi ### Meier Levin, who holds the port-folio of Minister of Welfare.
