The State of New Mexico has pledged itself to do no less proportionately than any other State in the Union on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal for the relief and rehabilitation of European Jewry, it was stated here by Max Nordhaus, who has accepted the post of New Mexico Chairman of the $3,250,000 campaign of the Joint Distribution Committee and the American Palestine Campaign. A squad of “minutemen” will visit communities throughout the State to arouse the Jewish population to an understanding of the distressed condition of millions of Jews in Europe, for whom aid is being sought.
