Alexander Eppler, secretary-general of the Budapest Jewish community has died there at the age of 52 from natural causes, it was disclosed today by the Joint Distribution Committee. For nearly 25 years Mr. Eppler had been in the service of the Community. In July, 1940, he was sent, together with 70,000 other Hungarian Jews, to a forced labor camp in the Carpathian mountains where he spent three months.
