Alexander Fleissig, prominent statesman, banker and philanthropist, died today at the age of 70. Mr. Fleissig was president of the Stock Exchange, a member of the Upper House of Parliament and director of the British-Hungarian Bank. He was the only Jew besides Eugen Vidor to hold the Horthy Cross of Merit, first class, with the title of Excellency.
