Funeral services were held here today for Alexander Hafftka, Jewish historian and sociologist, who died here after a long illness. He was 72. Born in Poland, he served as an adviser on minority affairs to the Polish Government and as a counselor on Jewish Affairs to the Polish Interior Ministry before World War II. He was co-publisher and political editor of the Polish-Jewish Encyclopedia, and the author of “Anti-Semitism in the German Republic. “
