All claims under the West Berlin compensation law recently passed by the municipal coulcil must be filed within one year, it was announced here today.
The announcement also said that victims of the Nazis would be entitled to claim five deutschamarks for each day spent in a Nazi prison or camp. Widows of victims are eligible for a pension of 110 duetschemarks monthly and a rent allowance of 50 deutschemarks a month. Orphans and parents of victims are also eligible for compensation.
Ralf Schweiger, free lance journalist, who has contributed articles to Der Weg, Berlin Jewish community publication, has disappeared, it was reported here today. It is feared here that he was kidnaped while visiting friends in the Soviet sector of Berlin.
