An all-Hebraic violin concert will be presented here early this month. It will include the latest Hebrew melodies by the outstanding Jewish composers. The music will be rendered by Harris Pine of the Syracuse Fine Arts College. Among the numbers in his repertoire will be the famous Nigun, improvisation by Ernest Bloch; “The Birdling Sings,” by George Perlman and various melodies of modern Palestine, improvised by the violinist himself.
The concert will be given under the joint auspices of the Syracuse Yugnt Rath of Young Poale-Zion Alliance and local chapter of Avukah, with the purpose to raise funds for Palestine.
