The charge that German authorities have killed all Jewish children in occupied Poland was voiced here yesterday by Polish Minister of the Interior Wladyslaw Banaczyk, addressing a conference on Allied relief for starving people in Nazi-held territories.
“All Jewish children in Poland have been exterminated by the Germans,” Mr. Banaczyk said. He appealed for immediate shipments of food and clothing to Poland to save from starvation over 500,000 non-Jewish children and many adults.
The news that the U.S. Senate had approved a resolution urging the State Department to seek British cooperation in sending food to people in occupied countries as early as possible, has aroused great interest among Jewish groups here as well as among the Governments-in-Exile. It is believed that stronger pressure will now be applied by parliamentarians and church leaders to secure the consent of the British Government to the sending of food to Poland and other occupied territories now that public opinion in the United States has decided in favor of such action.
