The Jewish Book Union of Germany (Juedische Buchvereinigung), announces that it has succeeded in obtaining the rights for the publication of Jacob Wassermann’s last novel which he had just completed before he died.
The Jewish Book Union, it says, considers it a particularly important achievement to have secured for the German Jews the sole first opportunity of reading this valuable work by one of the greatest Jewish writers in the German language. The novel is entitled “Kerkhoven’s Third Existence,” and is the last part of the trilogy, which began with the “Case of Mauritius.” On account of the size of the book, which runs to about 640 pages, the Jewish Book Union will publish it in two volumes, and the first volume will appear on June 15,.
All those who are not yet members of the Jewish Book Union are urged to join, which, it is pointed out, is the only way to obtain a copy.
