All Jewish firms in Bulgaria with capital of less than 60,000 leva, amounting to approximately $720 at the pre-war rate of exchange, must be liquidated by Saturday, October 31, the Sofia radio reported today, quoting a decision published in the Bulgarian Official Gazette.

The liquidation of the smaller Jewish enterprises in Bulgaria follows the “Aryanization” of the larger Jewish establishments which is being conducted under pressure from Germany. German trusts are being organized all over Bulgaria, and are taking control not only of Jewish firms but also of important Bulgarian industries, including the manufacture of sulphuric acid and zinc mines.
