Alumni of free 10-day trips to Israel continue to feel stronger attachments to Israel and the Jewish people than they did before the trip. The finding was part of a new study conducted by Brandeis University’s Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies. The study reports that 65 percent of Birthright Israel alumni feel a strong connection to the Jewish people one year after the trip — compared to 38 percent beforehand — and that 48 percent feel a strong connection to Israel, compared to 22 percent beforehand.
