The American Association for Jewish Education today announced the establishment of a Semel Educational Foundation as a tribute to the 50 years of active leadership given to Jewish education by Bernard Semel, noted American Jewish leader. The Foundation will be used to support projects in Jewish education meriting special attention. with particular emphasis on scholarships and fellowships to train educational personnel at colleges and universities.
