The American Christian Palestine Committee, meeting in executive session today, unanimously adopted a resolution hailing Israel and calling for the “consolidation of a separate political existence for the Arab part of Palestine.” The resolution also demanded the withdrawal of all invading Arab forces from Israel and called upon Great Britain to forsake her unfriendly attitude toward the Jewish state.
Praising the government of Israel for the “scrupulous manner” in which it respected the sanctity of the Holy Places in Palestine, the A.C.P.C, especially singled out the recent Israel action which “in the midst of a war offered all facilities for the Christiana In Israel to celebrate the Holy Day of Christmas in keeping with the dignity and tradition of that revered festival.”
