In a wire to U.N. Secretary-General Trygve Lie,### American Council for Judaism has asked that the United Nations make clear to the ##sh Agency that it does not speak for all the Jews of the world.
The Council, taking cognizance of the Agency’s recent request that it be ##rd by the Security Council as representing the interests of the Jewish community in Palestine and Jews throughout the world, stated that “our sole representative befor any agency of the United Nations is the duly constituted representatives of U.S. Government.”
The Council’s message concluded: “We consider it of the utmost importance the status of people of Jewish faith who do not wish their national status to be ##er than that of the countries of their citizenship, that in response to this ##sent request of the Jewish Agency for Palestine and in any subsequent negotiation with it, you or your proper deputy make clear to the Agency that it is not considered ## speaking for ‘all the Jews of the world.'”
