The American Council for Judaism today sent a message to Chief Justice Emil Sandstroem of Sweden, chairman of the U.N. Special Committee on Palestine, urging that UNSCOP’s inquiry into the resettlement preferences of placed persons of Jewish faith in European camps be conducted “under circumstances that will free them from partisan political boycotts and pressures.”
The Council also urged that in making its investigation the U.N. committee make due allowance for the long period of Zionist propaganda and indoctrination of Jewish DP’s” and that before the poll is conducted, “make known to them the relevant acts in regard to the situation in Palestine.”
