A plant for the manufacture of television sets for the local and export markets was opened here today by the Zenith Corporation, the American manufacturer of radio, television and electronic equipment. Commerce and Industry Minister Zeev Sharef took part in the official opening of the plant which will produce some 6,000 television sets annually. The sets will sell on the local market for slightly less than 2,000 pounds ($667) or one third less than current imported models.
